Why leadership skills are necessary for caterers?

Managing food for an event is a big responsibility that is performed by a caterer. But, this profession requires many skills including leadership. It is essential for a caterer to have leadership skills. But, why catering professionals requires these abilities? Answer is –
To manage staff – A caterer works like a leader for the whole team of chefs, cooks, servers and more. They give orders, check food preparations, beverages, transportations etc., all at the same time. They need leadership qualities to get work done properly and on time. Without leadership skills, it will become difficult for a caterer to handle food preparations.

To manage schedule – One also requires leadership abilities to manage schedule. Caterers must lead and manage their staff, so that food is prepared and served before time for the big event.

To handle clients – These skills are also necessary to handle clients. A good leader directs clients towards the right food choices for their event.
